Your HALO™ Hybrid Fractional Laser Treatment Consultation
During your consultation, you will be physically examined to determine the proper approach for your concerns. Then, a discussion of your medical history will take place. This will include past or present medical conditions, current medications, and recent cosmetic treatments. Before-and-after photographs may be taken for comparison.
The HALO™ Procedure
As with all of our treatments, your certified laser technician will discuss adequately preparing your skin for treatment and ensure that you are a good candidate for HALO™. A numbing cream will be applied to your skin before your procedure to keep you comfortable, although most patients only cite mild discomfort, almost like a prickling sensation with heat. Next, a small handpiece will be evenly rolled over your skin as the laser energy penetrates through your skin’s dermal layer. Treatment time, including numbing, takes less than an hour to perform.

HALO™ Hybrid Fractional Laser Treatment Aftercare
Immediately after your HALO™ treatment, your skin may appear slightly flushed and feel tight, like a light sunburn. Your provider will recommend specific aftercare products to ensure safe recovery and enhance healing. You will also be advised to wear a physical sunscreen of at least SPF 30 the month following your procedure.
Depending on the depth of your treatment, you may notice light flaking within two days. It is important not to pick at this skin, as new, fresh, luminous skin lies just underneath! Over the next several weeks you will see continued improvement in the skin’s texture and tone, with full results observed at three months after treatment. If damage lies more buried in the skin, or you wish for intensified results, your provider may recommend a series of 2 or 3 HALO™ treatments for an optimal outcome. She may also suggest complementary therapies such as ForeverYoung™ BBL to enhance skin’s tone further.
