Our Twin Cities Rhinoplasty (nose job) surgical consultations are available at both our Woodbury and Eagan locations. Rhinoplasty is one of the most common facial cosmetic surgery procedures. A rhinoplasty can help correct a variety of features that individuals would like to alter, such as balance crooked or oversized noses or nostrils, as well as remove bumps on the nose.
Functional Rhinoplasty is used to correct external and internal nasal deformity that contributes to nasal obstruction or congestion and respiratory difficulty. Our facial plastic surgeons perform rhinoplasty procedures at the Midwest Surgery Center, conveniently located within the Midwest Eye & Ear Institute in Woodbury.
About rhinoplasty surgery
Rhinoplasty is performed at our surgical facility, Midwest Surgery Center, located within the Midwest Eye & Ear Institute in Woodbury. The procedure typically takes 1-3 hours depending on what needs to be done. Ideally, the body and face should be fully grown before undergoing a rhinoplasty. As a general rule, for cosmetic rhinoplasty, boys should be at least 15 years old and girls should be at least 13 years old.
For most rhinoplasty patients small incisions are made inside the nostrils, as well as a small communicating incision across the skin between them. This provides greater exposure to the under lying cartilage and bone, which can then be reshaped or repositioned to create the desired appearance.
While computer imaging is available for your consult, we strongly recommend that you review before and after photos of our patients who have undergone the procedure.
