This 58-year-old musician couldn’t breathe through his nose, and additionally felt it was out of proportion with the rest of his face. He consulted Dr. Griffin who performed septorhinoplasty to improve his nasal appearance and function. Before surgery he had a “tension nose” which is a condition where the septum is so large that it pulls the upper lip forward. After surgery, the lip is able to relax into a more normal position which gives him better facial balance.
