Frequently Asked Questions
These are the questions we hear most often, especially the ones that sometimes keep patients from moving forward.
I am not sure I can afford this. What are my options?
We offer Cherry healthcare financing payment plans, which lets you pay over time, often with promotional no-interest periods. Many patients find that financing allows them to move forward on their own timeline. Apply for Cherry before your consultation so you know your budget going in. https://pay.withcherry.com/midwest-facial-plastic-surgery
I want to wait and book later. Is there any urgency?
Surgical schedules fill up, so earlier booking gives more flexibility. If a deposit has been paid for a cosmetic procedure, it must be rescheduled within 90 days of the original date or the $1,000 deposit is forfeited. Call Surgery Coordinators at (651) 632-9796 with any questions before committing.
How do I know my surgeon is qualified?
Our facial plastic surgeons bring advanced fellowship training and a compassionate, non-judgmental approach — getting to know each patient, earning their trust, and setting realistic expectations so that every person achieves results tailored to their unique goals. MWFP is a top 1% Botox provider in the U.S. with over 50 years combined experience. Surgeons are physician-owners of Midwest Surgery Center. Full bios at mw-fp.com/our-team.
What if I am nervous about the recovery?
Your surgeon will walk you through realistic timelines at your consultation. After surgery, a nurse calls the next day to check on you. Our Careline at (651) 632-9797 is available for post-op questions. Written discharge instructions are provided before you leave the surgery center.
Will my insurance cover my procedure?
Coverage depends on whether the procedure is considered medically necessary. Our Prior Authorization team checks your benefits and contacts you with details. Cosmetic procedures are typically not covered, which is where financing can help. Prior Authorizations: (651) 501-5538.
Do I need time off work? What about FMLA or Minnesota PFML?
Time off varies by procedure. Your surgeon provides an estimated timeline at consultation. Our care team initiates PFML/FMLA certification and emails the completed paperwork once your surgery date is confirmed. Additional records can be requested through Medical Records.
How many separate bills should I expect?
Up to four bills: (1) Midwest Surgery Center for facility charges; (2) Metropolitan Anesthesia Network for anesthesiologist and CRNA; (3) your surgeon's professional group; (4) pathology, if tissue was biopsied or removed. Direct billing questions to the number on each bill. MWFP billing: (651) 645-5535.
Can I see before and after photos before deciding?
Yes. Our gallery at mw-fp.com/gallery features real patient results organized by procedure. Individual results vary. Your surgeon will discuss realistic expectations based on your specific anatomy and goals at your consultation.
