Brow/Forehead Lift Photos - Case #4359

This 54-year-old woman felt that she looked older than her age and was having difficulty seeing. She met with Dr. Griffin to discuss her options to improve her appearance. Potential areas for improvement included very low eyebrows, heavy upper eyelids, glabellar creases, fine lines in the lower eyelids, and lower eyelid “tear trough” deformity. Particularly in the lower eyelid region, it is important for a surgeon to accurately diagnose what is going on. Some patients have lower eyelid “bags” which are fat that needs to be removed or repositioned. This patient didn’t really have that…she actually had loss of volume in the lower lid/cheek junction (tear trough) and loose skin in the lower eyelid region. For the forehead and brow, Dr. Griffin suggested a browlift and upper blepharoplasty. For the lower eyelid and cheek, we decided to perform fat grafting from the abdomen to the tear trough as a permanent filler, and perform CO2 laser to tighten the skin and erase fine lines.

After surgery she looks completely refreshed and has started to wear makeup again which is always a great sign to us that patients are feeling good about themselves!
