Dr. Garrett Griffin Presents at the 2026 AAFPRS Annual Meeting

AAFPRS Annual Meeting 2026

We’re excited to share that Dr. Garrett Griffin was invited to present on the main stage at the 2026 American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) Annual Meeting in Las Vegas! Held September 23–26, the AAFPRS Annual Meeting is the premier event for the facial plastic surgery community, and this year brought together 320 speakers from 22 countries.

On Saturday, September 26, Dr. Griffin joined a panel of rhinoplasty experts from around the world to present “Dome Imbrication for the Win: Novel Technique to Achieve Functional and Cosmetic Goals in Rhinoplasty,” an approach to nasal tip refinement that he developed. It was an honor for him to share the stage with so many respected surgeons, including Dr. Russel Kridel, who presented on his 40 years of experience with the tongue-in-groove technique.

About Dome Imbrication

The shape of the nasal tip comes largely from two small, curved cartilages. With dome imbrication, Dr. Griffin gently folds and overlaps these cartilages and secures them with a few carefully placed stitches, creating a more refined and well-supported tip using the patient’s own cartilage. Because the technique works with the natural shape of the cartilage, it helps patients achieve a natural-looking result along with a strong, stable structure.

Sharing the Stage with His Mentors

This year’s faculty also included Dr. Paul Nassif, Dr. Babak Azizzadeh, and Dr. Guy Massry, who trained Dr. Griffin during his fellowship in California. Presenting at the same meeting as his mentors made the week a meaningful full-circle moment.
