This healthy 17 year old girl had always hated her “bump” and wished to undergo rhinoplasty to improve her appearance. To achieve improved appearance and facial balance, her bump was reduced, her tip was made more narrow, and her tip was lowered slightly. Instead of a bump, she now has a very subtle “scoop” on profile which is pleasing. Her new nose is natural appearing and fits her face. This surgery was performed by Dr. Garrett Griffin at Midwest Surgery Center in Woodbury, MN.

This handsome young man wanted to improve his lower face, specifically wishing he had a stronger chin and less full neck. He met with Dr. Garrett Griffin to discuss all of his options. They agreed on a chin implant and neck liposuction performed in the office under local anesthesia. After surgery, he has a stronger, more masculine jawline and looks younger. Endonasal Rhinoplasty, or closed rhinoplasty, is a scarless rhinoplasty approach where incisions are made inside the nose. Through this approach, you can reduce a bump, straighten the bridge and septum, and modify how much the nasal tip is tilted up or down. The nasal tip cartilages are typically not touched in this approach. As a result, this technique is ideal for patients who want to make changes to the appearance of the nose without significantly changing the nasal tip. In comparison to traditional open rhinoplasty, closed rhinoplasty typically results in less swelling and shorter recovery time. These are a few of Dr. Schroeder’s patients that are 2-3 months out from closed rhinoplasty and loving their results!
