This healthy, active female had a basal cell carcinoma of the right lower eyelid removed with the Mohs technique. She was referred for options of reconstruction of the defect or open wound. We were able to reconstruct the eyelid/cheek region with an pedicled skin flap, an advancement flap of the existing right lower eyelid and a free tissue graft of conjunctiva from the left upper eyelid. Photos show her before and over 6 months after to reveal a natural, unoperated appearance of the eyelid/cheek region with no distortion of the eyelid or cheek region and a well protected eye. This patient’s care was performed by Dr. Christopher Tolan at Midwest Facial Plastic Surgery and Esthetic Skincare.
