Mohs Reconstruction Photos - Case #1454

This senior male had a basal cell carcinoma of the right lower eyelid removed with the Mohs technique. He was referred for options of reconstruction of the defect or open wound. We were able to reconstruct the eyelid region with a free tissue graft from the left upper eyelid to reconstruct the inside or conjunctiva of the eyelid and a pedicled skin flap from his right upper eyelid. Photos show him before and over 6 months after to reveal a natural, unoperated appearance of the eyelid region with no distortion of the eyelid or cheek and a well protected eye. This patient’s care was provided by Dr. Christopher Tolan at Midwest Facial Plastic Surgery and Esthetic Skincare.
