Mohs Reconstruction Photos - Case #1447

This healthy, senior female had a basal cell carcinoma of the right inner eyelid region, or canthus, removed with the Mohs technique. She was referred for options of reconstruction of the defect or open wound. We were able to reconstruct the eyelid and medial canthal region with an advancement flap from the surrounding skin and a free tissue skin graft from the front of the ear. Photos show her before and over 6 months after to reveal a natural, unoperated appearance of the eyelid and nose region with no distortion of the eyelid and a well protected eye. This patient’s care was provided by Dr. Christopher Tolan at Midwest Facial Plastic Surgery and Esthetic Skincare.
